KARTA QR

Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how KARTA QR ("we," "us," "the Platform") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our services as a Merchant. By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: your email address and password (stored securely, never in readable form — see Section 4).
  • Store profile information: store name, phone number, WhatsApp number, physical address, GPS location (if you choose to set it), working hours, contact person's name, and commercial license number (all optional except what's needed to create your store).
  • Product content: the names, descriptions, prices, and photos you upload for your products.
  • Partner/referral information: if you register as a Partner, your name and a unique referral code, plus records of stores you refer and commission calculations tied to them.
  • Payment records: we record when a subscription payment is confirmed and its amount, for billing and commission purposes. We do not collect or store your card or bank details directly — payment itself happens outside the Platform, confirmed manually.

We do not collect personal data from the customers who scan your store's QR code or visit your public store page — that page is a public catalog, and viewing it does not create any account or record on our side.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate your store page and generate your QR code, printable card, and promotional materials.
  • To send you service-related communications, such as password-reset emails.
  • To calculate and track Partner commissions.
  • To provide customer support when you contact us.

4. How We Protect Your Information

Your password is stored using industry-standard one-way encryption (hashing) — nobody at KARTA QR, including us, can see your actual password. Access to your account and store data is restricted at the database level, so only you (and, where relevant, our platform administrators) can access or modify it.

5. What's Public vs. Private

Your store's name, products, prices, photos, address, and contact details are intentionally public — that's the purpose of your store page, so customers can find and view it after scanning your QR code. Your account email, password, and any billing/commission records are never made public.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We use trusted third-party infrastructure providers to operate the Platform, including database and authentication hosting, web hosting, and transactional email delivery. These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us and do not use your data for their own purposes.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share your private account information with other Merchants or Partners. Your store's public content is visible to anyone who accesses your store page, by design.

8. Your Rights

You can access and update most of your store information directly from your dashboard at any time. To request a copy of your data, ask a question, or request account deletion, contact us via the Contact Us page.

9. Cookies and Sessions

We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for business use by merchants and is not directed at children.

11. Governing Law

[Placeholder — same treatment as the Terms & Conditions' equivalent clause, to be confirmed with a lawyer once the company's formal incorporation location is settled.]

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

13. Contact

Questions about this Policy can be directed to us via the Contact Us page.
